Value and respect
When we asked our Regional Director of Operations what his favorite value was:
"Easy one - Respect. It seems so basic and obvious...that it shouldn’t need to be induced, but people are so trampled-on by some of their experiences...they often forget the basic human kindness and support that drives real engagement to an employer. It takes a new TM a while sometimes to “DKN decompress”...but once we get the right relationship going...this connection gets us through some rough periods that just the need for a paycheck might not. I’ve never worked at a company with such a low turnover rate, and this culture is obviously the reason."
We challenge prevailing assumptions when warranted. We offer suggestions when we see opportunity. We itch for any chance to be creative. And we seek to maintain an open mind, always.
Teamwork is at play here every minute of every day. But those opening days at our Homewood would be the most obvious display of it -- team members from all DKN properties drove hours and spent days prepping the hotel so that we could start serving our guests. Fact is, we wouldn't have opened on time without it.
We are laser focused on driving and optimizing revenues and profits via management of all operating costs that deliver optimal returns on investment.
